Punched and Skived
A Quick Look at Skived & Punched Tubing
Definitions:
Skiving; punching a hole into a single lumen of a multi-lumen tube with
the use of precision processing equipment while the remaining lumens are
not disturbed.
Punching; putting a specific size hole or multiple holes into the wall
of tubing. In some applications these holes may be introduced into the
side of the tube while in other applications the punching mechanism may
pass through to the other side of the tubing making an identical hole
on both sides of the tube.
FBK’s precision state of the art punching and skiving equipment can
introduce single or multiple holes simultaneously. We can also rotate
the tube so that the holes are placed at all positions around the tube
or along the length of the tube.
