A Quick Look at Buffed Tubing

FBK has developed a post extrusion processing technology that forms and eliminates the radius on the end of cut lengths of tubing. This treatment is necessary when tubing is used as catheter sleeving for a metal needle. A buffed tube provides a smooth transition from the needle to the catheter tube minimizing unnecessary trauma to the patient. 

Application for Buffed Tubing 

The tip of the needle inside the buffed tube is used to introduce the buffed catheter tubing into the body. The needle is removed and the flexible tubing remains in the body to introduce either medication or sample fluids from the patients body.
